With warmer temperatures and longer, lazier days, community events and gathering places rightfully take center stage in summer in Wisconsin – and Cottage Grove is no exception.
Fill your calendar of summer fun with some (or all!) of these great local events and destinations:
- Fireman’s Festival: An annual Father’s Day Weekend tradition and one of the biggest events of the year in Cottage Grove, the 2024 Fireman’s Festival is set for June 13-16 at Fireman’s Park. - Marketplace Dayz: Slated for Saturday, July 20 from 9am – 2pm, Marketplace Dayz is a free outdoor event held at the Piggly Wiggly Shopping Center. It’s a chance for anyone and everyone to come meet local Chamber of Commerce businesses and organizations while enjoying activities, live music, brat stand, DJ, fire trucks, Kona Ice, raffle baskets and more.
- Community Night Out: Join local first responders, the Village of Cottage Grove, the Parks & Recreation Department, and the Chamber of Commerce and local business & organizations for a free community gathering with local food trucks, live music and more. Community Night Out will be held Wednesday, August 21.
- Farmer’s Market: Shop fresh, local, delicious food and other specialty items at the Farmer’s Market at Doundrins Distilling. The event runs every Tuesday from 4 – 7pm, rain or shine, through October 29.
- Music in the Grove: Who doesn’t love live music in the summer? Cottage Grove’s Music in the Grove series is a free family-friendly outdoor music series held in against the backdrop of various beautiful Cottage Grove parks on Thursday evenings throughout the summer. In addition to all Cottage Grove has to offer, it’s also a great home base to explore all the summer events and destinations in the surrounding areas.
